Kendra Kemp Longarm Quilter, Learner, Chaser of sunsets & the One who created them, Teacher, Mother, Wife, Grower of beautiful things, Explorer of places I've never seen before.
I started sewing as a young girl, learning from my mom and grandmother, in her craft room. We made skirts, dresses, doll clothes, you name it. When my own daughters were born, I loved the personalization of making baby blankets and other items for their nursery. Many of those items will be kept forever! In the thick of raising our sweet family, sewing took a backseat. As those daughters have become women themselves, I am thrilled to be back at a sewing machine with a new love for quilting!
I am inspired by the beauty and art of nature and the Creator who made it all. I love to combine my own touch of modern patterns to the colors and visual remnants found outdoors. My wonderful husband and I travel often, and the breath-taking landscapes often have an influence on what I stitch. I am also an avid gardener and find the most gorgeous colors are usually right there, waiting to be transferred to fabric.
